The Koho brand was on dark sweaters and third sweaters, while the CCM brand was on the white sweaters. The Hockey Company began the practice of putting the manufacturer's logo on the back of the sweater, below the neck, rather than on the back of the waist hem, as had previously been the practice. Jofa, another subsidiary, made the sweaters for referees and linesmen until the 2005–06 season, when they were re-branded CCM which they remain as of 2008–09.
Coloured road uniforms were used in the World Football League during its short period of existence in 1974–75, with the home team wearing white, and college football teams must base their road uniform around a white jersey. The NFL's current rules require that a team's home uniforms must be "either white or official team colour" throughout the season, "and visiting clubs must wear the opposite". If a team insists on wearing its home uniforms on the road, the NFL Commissioner must judge on whether their uniforms are "of sufficient contrast" with those of their opponents. The road team may instead wear a third jersey, such as the Seattle Seahawks' "Wolf Grey" alternate. I wish the league would mandate every team have official light and dark colors as part of their identity.
The Tigers wore gold jerseys for that game and won 35-0, playing in front of a crowd that was encouraged to wear white in order to “white out” Vanderbilt. This AFC East team is not unaccustomed to taking the field in white pants, white helmets and white jerseys. The Falcons' game-day white jersey features swaths of black and red.
